Dialup Information

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to setup a new dial-up connection to wpcs.net on a Windows XP Operating System. These instructions will also work on a system running the Windows 2000 operating system. 	1. Click the Start Button on your Taskbar (Normally located in the lower left corner of your screen) 2. Move your mouse over Programs or All Programs and a new menu will appear. 3. Move your mouse over Accessories. 4. Move your mouse over Communications. 5. Click on New Connection Wizard.
	6. You will receive a window with the header "Welcome to the Connection Wizard". 7. Click Next.
	8. Under "Network Connection Type" choose Connect to the Internet. 9. Click Next.
	10. Under "Getting Ready" choose Set up my Connection Manually. 11. Click Next.
	12. Under "Internet Connection" choose Connect Using a Dial-up Modem. 13. Click Next.
	14. Under "Connection Name" type "wpcs.net" (without the quotation marks). 15. Click Next.
	16. Under "Phone Number to Dial" type the phone number for your location. You do not need an area code or a hyphen (-). Do not type the quotation marks. "2578877" - West Plains "2642392" - Thayer, Mammoth Springs, Koshkonong 17. Click Next.
	18. Under "Internet Account Information" type in the User Name that you gave us when you signed up. 19. Type in your Password 20. Re-type your password in the Confirm Password section. 21. Do not change either check mark. 22. Click Next.
	23. Under "Completing the New Connection Wizard" you have the opportunity to place a dial-up shortcut on your desktop by placing a check mark in "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop." 24. Click Finish.
