Here are step-by-step instructions on how to setup a new email account in Outlook Express 6 for Windows XP .  These instructions will also work on a system running the Windows 2000 operating system.   If you would like to see what each section should look like on Windows XP, click on the picture to the left of the instruction set you are on.  For a printable version of the WPCS.NET setup instructions click here.  Adobe Acrobat Reader is required and can be downloaded here.

1. Click the Start Button on your Taskbar (Normally located in the lower left corner of your screen)

2. Move your mouse over Programs or All Programs and a new menu will appear.

3. Click on Outlook Express.

The first time that Outlook Express is opened it will automatically start the setup wizard.  If the wizard comes up automatically skip to number 9.

4. Click Tools from the toolbar at the top.

5. Click Accounts.

6. Click on the tab that is labeled Mail.

7. Click Add located at the top right of this window.

8. Click Mail.

9. Under "Your Name" type in any of the following: first and last name, family name, business name, nickname, etc...

10. Click Next.

11. Under "Internet Email Address" type type in your "user name" followed by "@wpcs.net".  Do not type the quotation marks.

12. Click Next.

13. Under "Email Server Names" leave "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server" set as is.

14. Under "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, HTTP) server:" type "mail.wpcs.net" (without the quotation marks).

15. Under "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:" type "mail.wpcs.net" (without the quotation marks).

16. Click Next.

17. Under "Internet Mail Logon" the "Account name" should already be correct.

18. Under "Password" type in your password

19. Do not change either check mark box.

20. Click Next.

21. Click Finish.

22. Click Close located at the bottom right of this window.
